CTG History

We’ve been busy over the last five decades…

1966: Founded 
CTG is founded by David Baer and Randy Marks.

1969: Becomes Public
CTG goes public and issues first edition of employee newsletter, Telebit.

1978: Headquarters
CTG moves its headquarters to 800 Delaware Avenue in Buffalo, NY.

1970s and early 80s: North American Expansion
CTG establishes branch offices in several North American cities.

1987: NYSE
CTG listed on the NYSE.

1987: Healthcare Services Expansion
CTG establishes a North American healthcare practice to serve provider, payer, and life sciences organizations.

1989: Hospice Light-A-Life
CTG hosts first Hospice Light-A-Life event.

Mid-1980s and early 90s: International Expansion
CTG expands operations into Europe.

1992: Oil and Gas Services Expansion
CTG opens an office in Anchorage, Alaska, to better serve oil and gas clients.

2013: Expansion
CTG acquires Belgium-based healthcare consulting firm, etrinity.

2016: Anniversary
CTG celebrates its 50th year in business.

2018: Expansion
CTG expands to Paris, France, with the acquisition of SOFT COMPANY, a consulting and digital services company.

Early 2019: Expansion
CTG acquires Luxembourg-based Tech-IT, a consulting and IT solutions company.

2019: Leadership
Filip Gydé is named President and CEO of CTG.

2020: Expansion
CTG acquires StarDust, a leader in testing and quality assurance for digital services based in Marseille, France, with operations in Montreal, Canada.

2021: Brand
CTG announces updated brand and tagline, "Transformation Accelerated," reflecting our increased investment in digital transformation solutions. 

2022: Expansion
CTG acquires Eleviant Tech, a privately owned digital transformation company headquartered in Dallas, Texas, with expertise in mobile, cloud, web, blockchain, robotic process automation (RPA), and artificial intelligence (AI) technologies. 

2023: Acquisition
CTG is acquired by Cegeka, a leading global IT services and solutions company.
