Challenge
A leading medical lab in New England improves the quality of people’s lives by supporting its clients’ research every step of the way. Their medical solutions have led to several FDA approved therapies and have participated in hundreds of studies in the field. To support one of their highly complex cell and gene therapy critical solutions, this client wanted to upgrade its donor management and clinical trial supply processes and systems. They needed to combine disparate data sources, such as WooCommerce, Qualtrics Surveys, Facebook, and Salesforce, to gain a better profile of their blood donors.
In addition to enhanced donor profiling, the client wanted to streamline the ordering process for clinical drug trial supplies. Their goal was to expand the functionality of their current applications by building a modern data platform and a customer 360 portal.
The client needed a hard-to-find combination of data engineering and healthcare knowledge to make this project successful. After searching on their own and not finding the right skills, they turned to CTG for help.
Solution
CTG provided the critical missing piece—leading the data engineering efforts for the cell and gene therapy team using an Agile framework. As a result of this partnership, this client now has a central repository that helps the organization better understand the demographics of who donates blood. This insight has helped them connect with donors more effectively, targeting the right groups for the right research.
We also helped this client improve their clinical trial supply chain, making it easier to order blood, vials, and other products to support those tests at different labs and locations.
