BUFFALO, N.Y., April 14, 2025—CTG, a Cegeka Group company (the “Company”) and a leader in digital transformation and IT solutions, announced the launch of new cybersecurity solutions and expansion of the Cegeka Modern SOC (Security Operations Center) network to the U.S. to strengthen cyber resilience and minimize the impact of increasingly prevalent cyber threats and disruptions.
The new Cegeka Modern SOC in Buffalo, New York, joins a network of existing global centers to bring cyber resilience solutions closer to U.S.-based clients. The addition of the U.S.-based SOC enables follow-the-sun coverage and white glove service, delivering timely, actionable threat response and recovery that is vital to reducing operational and reputational damage.
Delivered through a proven and reliable managed services approach, these solutions help CTG clients alleviate the cost and challenge of hiring scarce and expensive cybersecurity talent internally, especially vital for mid-sized organizations that are increasingly targeted by more sophisticated threats.
“The cybersecurity landscape has fundamentally shifted, with bad actors moving down-market and attacks inflicting more harmful and lasting damage to business operations and reputations,” said Chad Alessi, Managing Director of Cybersecurity at CTG. “CTG’s solutions enable clients to not only detect threats but to also respond and recover efficiently, transforming cybersecurity from a cost center to a business enabler.”
The Cegeka Modern SOC stands apart from traditional SOCs by blending human expertise with automated cyber operations to accelerate the delivery of proactive and preventive threat detection and enable faster response and recovery during cyber disruptions that traditional SOCs are incapable of providing.
This modern approach surpasses traditional monitoring, detection, and response platforms that only alert clients to incidents. The Cegeka Modern SOC response and recovery capabilities provide both a recovery roadmap and the managed services to execute it. Built on the industry-standard Security Orchestration, Automation, and Response (SOAR) framework, CTG also ensures streamlined workflows and actionable responses as part of its Managed Detection and Response (MDR) service.
“Relying solely on prevention is no longer enough in today’s evolving threat landscape,” said Tom Niehaus, Executive Vice President of CTG. “Our expanded cybersecurity solutions provide the monitoring, detection, prevention, response, and recovery capabilities organizations need to stay resilient—because in today’s world, it’s not a matter of if an attack will happen, but when.”
The new solutions also enable organizations to shift their cyber strategies from overwhelmed and failing perimeter defenses to Zero Trust-based cybersecurity that protects users, devices, applications, and data wherever they are.
CTG’s new cybersecurity solutions include:
- An expanded Cegeka Modern SOC network with a new location in Buffalo, N.Y. that increases global capacity, bolsters 24x7 threat hunting and related real-time intelligence sharing, and supplements existing centers in Europe to provide truly localized expertise and MDR services to clients in the U.S. Cegeka Modern SOC capabilities also extend across increasingly interconnected IT and OT environments.
- Fully managed CISO Office-as-a-Service (Chief Information Security Officer) solutions, built on the Cegeka Security Advisory Framework (CSAF), to help organizations develop future-proof and tailor-made cybersecurity roadmaps based on each organization’s unique business needs.
- Identity-first security solutions, including Customer Identity and Access Management (CIAM), Privileged Access Management (PAM), and Identity Governance and Administration (IGA) capabilities, which focus on who the risks are rather than where they originate.
As part of the Cegeka Group, CTG has blended the Group’s global cybersecurity expertise with local knowledge to strengthen support for its U.S. clients. By adapting proven solutions and scaling regional talent, CTG has enhanced its U.S.-based Cegeka Modern SOC with response and recovery capabilities to meet evolving cybersecurity needs.
“We're excited to build on Cegeka’s global cybersecurity expertise to address the specific needs of U.S. organizations,” said Fabrice Wynants, Global Vice President of Cybersecurity and Networking at Cegeka. “With these new offerings, we're providing scalable solutions that meet the demands of any sized company, even in the most highly regulated industries such as healthcare and energy, where we have operated for decades.”
CTG and Cegeka will showcase their cyber resilience capabilities at RSAC™ 2025 Conference (booth 1149). Demonstrations will be supported by cybersecurity and executive leaders from both organizations, including Alessi, Niehaus, Wynants, Bart Watteeuw (Executive VP, Services and Solutions at Cegeka), and Cegeka CEO Stijn Bijnens—named Computable’s 2022 IT Person of the Year—who previously led cybersecurity organizations at Verizon Business and CyberTrust.
